The Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK), the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia (LDDK), the Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia (LBAS) and the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments (LPS) have agreed to urge the Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers to improve the crisis management model as a matter of urgency.
Government partners believe that the crisis is only at its early stages now. Latvia currently has an advantage in the sense that it can do successful forecasts based on the good and bad experiences of other countries. Likewise, we can draw lessons from our own good and bad experience in the previous crisis, however even swifter and more far-reaching action is required.
The President of LTRK Aigars Rostovskis: “Action must be quick, brave and decisive now. The crisis must be managed professionally, instead of reacting to its aftermath.”
