Taking into account the emergency situation in Latvia due to the spread of the disease Covid-19 caused by the coronavirus, LTRK is actively taking part in discussions with the government regarding the necessary solutions for stabilising the economy and supporting companies.
Today, the first meeting of the government group created by the government for the support to entrepreneurship and employees took place, led by the Minister for Finance Jānis Reirs (political party: JV), for operative prevention of economic consequences resulting from the disease Covid-19 caused by the coronavirus. At the first government group meeting, LTRK was represented by the Chairman of the Council of LTRK Aigars Rostovskis. The meeting agenda included discussions about the existing problematic situations and future scenarios, as well as support needed by companies at the moment and in the future.
During the meeting, three main directions of support activity were outlined:
(1) Direction of support for crediting and finances;
(2) Introducing tax holidays;
(3) Support for maintaining employment (e.g., changes to the system of sick-leave certificates).
