On Wednesday, 9 October, elections of president, deputies and committee heads of EUROCHAMBRES, the largest association of European entrepreneurs, bringing together 20 million of companies, took place and Aigars Rostovskis, the president of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the largest association of Latvian entrepreneurs, was elected to the Board of Directors and the Budget Committee.
With 61 out of 75 votes Austrian Kristoph Leitl was elected as the president of EUROCHAMBRES for the second term, and Czech Vladimir Dlouhy, Swede Stephan Muchler and Irishman Ian Talbot were elected as his deputies.
The president of LTRK, A. Rostovskis, was elected to the Board of Directors, where he will co-work with representatives from 26 different countries, while the main goal of the Budget Committee, which has 17 members, is to draft organisation's budget. Head of the Committee will be elected during their first meeting.
"Work of LTRK has been highly appraised, giving an opportunity to assume a post of such importance in the council of the largest entrepreneur association in Europe, EUROCHAMBRES.
