UAE announces application for support from Expo Live grant programme for start-ups

The major association of entrepreneurs in Latvia, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK), invites companies to use an opportunity and to apply for the innovation investment grant programme of Expo Live fund announced by the United Arab Emirates, offering 100 thousand dollars’ worth co-financing for projects.

Expo Live fund was set up to support innovative solutions, and Expo 2020 plans a global event in Dubai named "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future). The sub-themes of the expo are: Sustainability, Opportunity and Mobility. Latvian pavilion in Expo 2020 in Dubai is located in the Mobility area.

Criteria of the grant programme: officially incorporated start-ups implementing social, environmental or humanitarian oriented projects, prototyping level, innovative solutions in any sector and country. Maximum amount of the support — 100 thousand dollars.

"Latvia already has a positive experience with the grant programme of Expo Live fund, within the framework of which Ilze Zaharāne elaborates speech therapy programme “Cheeks Up” to help children learning letters and syllables. I believe that we have companies able to prove themselves and get support for implementation of their ideas", Ansis Egle, Expo 2020 project manager, tells.
